- Three or more years working in sustainability
- Appear dedicated to their niche in sustainability or renewable energy
- Professional website with high search engine ranking
- Names of principals and/or team members appear on website
- Website gallery has examples of work
- Client endorsements or testimonials
- Website provides education about sustainability and/or renewable energy
- Good customer service
- Appear to be one of the top individuals, businesses or organizations for their category in their community
- Member of respected trade organization
- Strong recommendation from respected third party
- Ethical business practices
